Main scope window
This window shows 4 measurements and 2 traces which were loaded from 2 separate files.

 
Main scope window XY-mode
This window shows 2 XY measurements. A 3rd XY measurement can be loaded from 2 separate files
 
 
Trigger setup window
This window can be used to set :
• Channel to use for trigger
• Trigger lever
• Positive / negative trigger slope

 
Analog to Digital converter setup window
Used to set the parameters of the AD converter:
• LPT port to which the hardware is connected
• Type of AD converter installed (more types will be supported in the near future)
• Input voltage range supported by the AD converter.

Fill in the total range supported by the hardware.
This includes any range changes due to division / amplification circuits build into the hardware.
So, for example, if you use input divider resistors to have a range from 0 V to 25 V, that can be entered here.

TLC 549 Analog to Digital Converter (8 bit)
The TLC 549 ic is an integrated AD converter made by Texas Instruments.
It has a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI-interface compatible) for the output of the digital data.
This interface makes the converter very suitable for easy access through the printer port.
The reference voltage of the converters I use is +5.0 Volt.
Look in the datasheets to see which input reference ranges can be used.
 
 
If you want to make a 4 channel measurement system, build the schematic above two times.
For channel 3 and 4 the output of the IC's should be connected to pins 10 and 11 (instead of pin 12 and 13)

MAX 1107 Analog to Digital Converter (8 bit)
At the moment I'm working on the software and hardware to make it possible to use the MAX1107 AD Converter.
The great part about that converter is that you can order 2 sample parts for free at the website of Maxim-ic.
Go to their site and find the link where you can order free sample parts.
They will send you 2 pieces of each number you request including datasheets.

주의
the MAX1107 only comes in SMD type of package.
These SMD chips are quite small, so be aware that using them can be quite challenging.
You can make life easier by bending the pins of the chip a little.
Bend the pins 1, 5, 6 and 10 outwards. Pins 2 and 9 upwards and pins 4 and 7 downwards.
This modification gives you enough space to handle this ic.


The standard connection schematic for the TLC549 / MAX1107 will result
 in a measurement range of 0 Volt to +5 Volt DC.
In a number of situations, it is desirable to have a large input measurement range.
The schematic below, displays one of the solution that can be used to measure for example 0 Volt to +10 Volt.
By adjusting the input resistor diver (in this case 10 kOhm and 10 kOhm), the voltage range can be modified.
For example : when the 10 kOhm resistor in the upper right corner is replaced by a 30 kOhm resistor,
the measurement range becomes 0 Volt to +20 Volt.

it is desirable to have a symmetrical measurement range.

The schematic below, displays one of the solution that can be used to measure for example -5 Volt to +5 Volt.
By adjusting the input resistor diver (in this case 10 kOhm and 10 kOhm), the voltage range can be modified.
For example : when the 10 kOhm resistor in the upper right corner is left out,
the measurement range becomes -2.5 Volt to +2.5 Volt.
Replacing this resistor with a 30 kOhm resistor will increase the measurement range to -10 Volt to +10 Volt.
